The powerful caniforms are 1.2 to 1.9 meters tall, weigh 50 to 200 kilograms and have long, thick brownish-black fur. The distinctive white V-shaped mark on their chests resembles a victory sign, which seems somehow contradictory given their scarce number in Taiwan, though.
